CANON- Evaluation

Image
I nitial research I started the brief off by interpreting what i had to do. This was to proof i understood what i had to do and what the brief was about. This was to create 2 products to promote Canons new line up of Cameras in association with their new campaign called Journeys. The product would be aimed at young people aged 16-25 years old and would be 2 of 3 things: a magazine cover, Print advert or advertorial for a magazine. This helped me have an idea of the brief before moving onto the next stage, client and audience research. Following up me summing-up the brief, i had to do some background research on the client. This gave me a better insight into who the client is and what they do such as what there other campaigns they do and what products they make, and who were their previous campaigns targeted at. This helped me gain background info on them as a business and what they do. This helped me get an idea on what sort of a product they would want ...

CANON- Post Production- MAGAZINE COVER

Image
Idea behind the shots  For the shots for the magazine cover, this one took longer to get than the one for the print advert. This was because it took many attempts to get the right angle and lighting. I wanted to capture the street lights in the background to lighten up the night sky. This will get the audience to focus their attention to the centre of the image as all the lights of the horizon will be coming from the horizon in the centre. Its similar to the effect i was getting with the moon in the print advert but doing it with streetlights in the magazine cover as i think it will be more vibrant to make them want to read it and learn more about Canon products. Organisation   Instead of transferring the images to a computer i Thought it would be easier to store them on my phone since i am editing it using a editing app on my phone. I created a folder to store all of my assets for the Canon project to make sure i didn't mix the up or lose them within ...

CANON- Post production- PRINT ADVERT

Image
During production i took plenty of different shots to try to get my initial ideas to work as well as trying to experiment with new ideas. I used different angles and lighting techniques to see which shot would work best and which shots wouldn't work. Orginisation Since i took the shots on my phone and not on a camera i thought it would be best to store them on my phone. I organised my images by creating a folder on my phone to keep all the images for the project safe stored in one place. This was so they wouldn't get mixed up with my other photos that weren't shots for the project. Raw footage This is some footage that i took on filming day. These 2 shots are the ones i wanted to use for my Print advert because i thought they were very detailed and would help grasp my audiences attention to the advert as it is a very well lit image with good lighting. The vibrant range of colours in the sea and the sky light up the atmosphere very well and make it look very appealing to th...

CANON- Production diary

Logistical detail Once i got permissions from the owners of the land of Seaburn beach on the 25th February, i went down to the facility one day later to film on Sunday 26th February. This was a most suitable date with it being on the weekend since i was free to film. I decided to film on The nighttime as that was the setting in which i planned my shot. I wanted to wait until the moon just starting to rise as for one of my shots i wanted the moon to just be reflecting off the land so there was a shine and glisten from the sea which would lighten up the scenery and make the poster interesting to look at. I didn't need to organise travel as it was just a ten minute walk away from my home. I made sure i came prepared for filming days by making note of what equipment i needed to bring with me on the day of shooting. The only eqquipment I needed was my phone to take the images with. This is because it is small and convenient for the occasion. Also I am using an iPhone 11 ...
